TERMS FOR INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS
The terms and conditions below apply for bookings made by private persons and travel agencies, unless a special agreement has been made. Separate rules apply for group reservations for 8 pax or more. The hotel reserves the right to apply special terms and conditions that differ from these in case of public holidays, special events, seasonality or additional services requiring so.
Booking and confirmation
When booking Hetan Kota accommodation (cottage or hostel room) your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, arrival- and departure time and method of payment are required. Please also inform us of any food allergies, dietary restrictions and medical conditions during the booking process. The hotel is entitled to apply different kinds of rules such as booking fee or credit card guarantee to secure the booking.
A booking is confirmed either automatically through our system or through separate e-mail by our staff. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail for your booking, please contact us as soon as possible: [email protected] or +358 400 183 020.
The room prices include breakfast, dinner and additional services, only where mentioned. Beverages and extra services will be charged separately.
Online bookings must be paid in full by credit card. The customer is responsible for printing out the receipt, target description and booking terms.
Hetan Kota is not responsible for a failed booking. If you don’t receive the booking confirmation and the receipt by e-mail, to the email address which you have specified, you must contact Hetan Kota as soon as possible.
When booking online the customer pays immediately the payment in full or upon arrival. Internet booking is paid either by credit card or through a bank service. The customer is responsible for ensuring that he will print a receipt, the description of the services and accommodation and the driving instructions, as well as the booking conditions. The reservation system will send (by reservation) the booking confirmation to the email address provided by the customer.
Hetan Kota accept the most common credit/debit cards. The hotel is not obliged to accept foreign currency, vouchers, checks or credit/debit cards unless the hotel has volunteered to do so.
Cancellations must always be done in writing by e-mail to [email protected] A cancellation becomes valid immediately when Hetan Kota receives the information about the cancellation in writing. Should you want to change your booking, the new arrangements will constitute an entirely new booking. Leaving the invoice unpaid is not regarded as being a valid cancellation.
If we receive your cancellation notification more than 30 days before the start of your stay, we will refund the full amount of the payment. Cancellations of up to 14 days prior to your stay we will refund 50% of the payment. If we receive your notification less than 7 days prior to your arrival, the total amount will be charged.
Hetan Kota is not responsible for any currency discrepancy.
It is highly recommended for the customer to have a valid travel insurance in case of sudden need to cancel the booking.
Hetan Kota’s rights to cancel the booking
Hetan Kota reserves the rights to cancel the booking in case of Force Majeure or other reasons out of Hetan Kota’s control, such as e.g. fire and/or water damages in the booked accommodation. In this case, we will notify you of the cancellation immediately and refund the total amount paid. Also, if customer does not pay his booking fees or other fees at an agreed date, Hetan Kota has the right to cancel the booking.
YOUR STAY AT HETAN KOTA
Check-in time is at 15.00 and check-out at 11.00.
Your accommodation will be at your disposal from 15.00 on your arrival day till 11.00 on your departure day.
Breakfast is available for additional price. Breakfast is served from 8.00 to 9.00.
Dinner and other meals
Dinner and other meals can be arranged but they have to be prebooked and minimum participant amount might apply. Please check and confirm with Hetan Kota personnel.
Cleaning after the check-out is included in the Hotel and Hostel room rate. Cottage rental does not include cleaning but it can be purchased for additional price.
Although the final cleaning is included in the price of hotel and hostel rooms, the normal housing is required meaning that furniture and other equipment are in the right place and in a good condition.
Additional cleaning fee will be charged if the space is stained (e.g. vomit or bed wetting). We will charge cleaning costs, however minimum 300 €. The customer is obligated to pay to Hetan Kota for any damages caused.
Guest behaviour and Guest’s responsibility in the hotel
At Hetan Kota, we follow good habits and order rules. We reserve the right to break the contract and stop providing services to guests, if they are in violation of the house rules or if they disturb other guests with their behaviour. However, you must pay for the cost of your accommodation and the additional services that you have subscribed to and you cannot claim a refund for already paid services.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in any of the buildings. If smoked in any of the buildings, we will charge cleaning costs, however minimum 300 €.
If the customer does not in spite of the notifications by Hetan Kota stop causing disturbance or danger in the same or neighbouring premises, Hetan Kota has the right to terminate the contract immediately and the costs of all the measures above will be invoiced to the customer.
The customer is obligated to report to Hetan Kota immediately about any damages in the accommodation premises caused by the customer and pay the cost of the damage intentionally or unintentionally caused to the property.
The customer will be responsible and charged for any unnecessary alarms caused by the customer e.g. fire alarms and the costs from them are charged from the customer.
Guest behaviour and Guest’s reponsibiliy in the surrounding nature and Hetta area in general
We value the wild nature we are surrounded with and it is there for everyone to enjoy. To keep the hotel premises, the nature surrounding us, the Pallas-Ylläs National Park and the whole Hetta area vibrant and clean, it’s wildlife diverse and healthy we ask our guests to acknowledge and respect the “everyman’s right” in Finland. The freedom to roam comes with responsibilities.
• walk, ski, snowshoe or cycle in areas that are not taken into special use by the landowner (for example private gardens and agricultural fields). In the Hetta area and the Pallas-Ylläs National Park we kindly ask you to stay to the marked tracks.
• pick wild berries, mushrooms, and flowers, as long as they are not protected species.
• row a boat or canoe on rivers and lakes
• walk on a frozen lake
You may not:
• disturb other people or damage the environment
• move around in private gardens, plantations or cultivated fields
• break off branches, cut down or damage trees
• collect moss, lichen, soil or wood
• disturb the privacy of homes
• make an open fire on someone else’s land. There are numerous campfire places and huts to be used all over the Hetta area and in the Pallas-Ylläs National Park.
• drive a motor vehicle off the road without the landowner’s permission. In the Hetta area snowmobiles are allowed only on specifically marked trails.
• fish and hunt without the appropriate licences
• litter. What you carry into nature you can carry back again.
All complaints and appeals concerning the condition of the accommodation must be presented immediately when such becomes apparent during the stay. If the faults are not taken care of during the stay, a written appeal must be done to Hetan Kota within a week after the stay. If the customer and Hetan Kota cannot find an agreement in the dispute, the customer can contact the consumers’ complaint board of Finland and the disputes will be settled in the District Court of Lapland. The contract is governed by The Finnish law.
Hetan Kota is not responsible for possible harm or expenses caused by the forces of nature, insects, wild animals or unexpected weather changes causing frozen or snowy windows, or problems caused by a third party like water, electricity or internet.
Accommodation reservations are not covered by the Package Travel Act. Hetan Kota is not responsible for printing errors, nor any changes made after the printing of the brochures.
Hetan Kota reserves the right to change the prices and to correct the errors in price information before signing a contract.
There is a free Wi-Fi connection in the Hetan Kota accommodation area. In case of any disturbance in the internet connection, Hetan Kota is not liable for compensation to the customer.

Tuotteet ja niiden postikulut maksetaan tilauksen yhteydessä.
